Overview

Streaky ("we", "our", "the app") is a daily habit tracking application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

Data We Collect

Local Data (stored on your device only)

• Habit names and completion dates
• Achievement unlock status
• Streak freeze count
• Notification preferences

This data is stored locally using SharedPreferences and is never transmitted without your action.

Cloud Data (only if you sign up)

• Email address (for authentication only)
• Display name (for leaderboard)
• Habit data (synced to Firebase Firestore)
• Anonymous user ID (Firebase Auth)

Automatically Collected

• Ad interaction data and your device advertising identifier, via Google AdMob

We do not run our own analytics and we do not collect crash reports. On iOS, the advertising identifier is only used if you allow tracking when asked; the app works identically either way, and you can change your mind in iOS Settings at any time.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the app experience
• To sync your habits across devices (if signed in)
• To display your name on leaderboards (if opted in)
• To show advertisements, which keep the app free
• To send push notifications (only if enabled)

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) - anonymous authentication and cloud database, used only for optional sync and the leaderboard
• Google AdMob - advertising
• Apple - processes the optional one-time "Remove Ads" purchase. We never see your payment details.

These services have their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing Google's privacy policy.

Data Retention

Local data persists until you uninstall the app or clear app data. Cloud data is retained until you delete your account. You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from the Account screen in the app.

Your Rights

• Access: View all your data in the app
• Delete: Delete your account and all cloud data from the app
• Export: Share your habit data using the share feature
• Opt out: Use the app without signing up (fully offline)
• Remove ads: A one-time in-app purchase removes banner and interstitial ads

Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
